ZUBER, FL-  This Friday night, September 11th, is the night chosen by the owners of Ocala Speedway to honor those who serve our communities.  The night has been dubbed as "Tribute to Heroes Night" and will feature a very special presentation and recognition of public servants and members of our military.  All active military, law enforcement, fire, and rescue personnel, will be admitted for one dollar with identification.  In addition to the honors for our public servants and military, everyone in attendance will see some exciting racing action from the Late Models, Amsoil V8 Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and the Gladiators.

Ocala Speedway owner Mike Peters hopes for a strong showing from the community at the track on Friday in order to show those who serve the appreciation that they deserve.  Peters also is hoping for good representation from all branches of our local law enforcement, plus fire, rescue, and EMS, plus members of our military.  Grandstand gates will open at 5PM with hot laps at 7PM.  Heat races will begin at 8PM with B mains and features to follow.

It's all Reutzel at Bubba Raceway Park with Lucas Oil ASCS

by Scott McAllister
OCALA, Fla. (February 27, 2015) The Lucas Oil American Sprint Series presented by MAVTV American Real paid its first visit Florida's Bubba Raceway Park with Aaron Reutzel picking up his second Protect the Harvest A-Feature win of the 2015 season. Reutzel's sixth Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Victory since 2014 the Clute, Texas driver took off from the pole to lead flag-to-flag for his third podium in four starts. "I tell you what; this team has got some momentum right now. It just seems like we can't do anything wrong," said Reutzel. "I knew all we had to do was win the start, and once I did I just stayed around the tires. My highs are like 7,500RPM, I don't think I went any further than half-throttle at anytime. I got too lapped there and I knew if I just followed them, I'd be alright. I was actually trying to let them get away from me but I just kept getting slower and slower like I was pulling them back to me." Nearly collected in slower traffic on the final lap, the caution displayed before Johnny Herrera could mount a charge on the B.C. Funds No 87. Asked about the caution, Reutzel replied, "I really didn't want to see that caution. That's like the third race I've been leading on a rubber down track and had a caution on the white flag lap and just something happened, so I was just like well, here we go again, but I knew if I could just get the jump and roll into one and two, I'd be okay." read more
