Ocala, FL – Bubba Raceway Park and NeSmith Racing Officials are pleased to release the 2017 Bubba Army Winter Nationals schedule that will take place January 25th-28that the egg-shaped oval in Ocala, Florida. The weekend will see three events that will count for Winter Shootout Points for the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series drivers.
Bubba Raceway Park will host $2,000 to win, 40 lap events on Thursday January 26th and Friday January 27th, and the weekend will be highlighted on Saturday January 28th with the one-day $10,000 to win, 100-lap 12th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship. The annual winter pilgrimage will see drivers from across the country head to the Sunshine state to beat the cold weather. Bubba Raceway Park is home to some exciting events, and this year’s will surely be with the two shows leading up to the weekend finale.
BRP is also offering an extra incentive for drivers competing in Thursday and Friday’s events of the Bubba Army Winter Nationals. Drivers will accumulate points on Thursday and Friday night, and then on Saturday the field for the 12th Annual World Championship will be set using standard NeSmith Racing format of Qualifying, Heats, and B-Mains to set 22 starters. After the 22 car field is set, the top 12 drivers from Thursday and Friday points will be put into a “Last Chance Qualifier” which will take the top 2 finishers and allow them to start 23rd and 24th in the 100-lap main event.

The Bubba Army Winter Nationals will kick off with and Open Practice on Wednesday night January 25th. On Thursday January 26th competitors will run a full racing program for $2,000 to win, 40 laps. Friday night will see the same complete show for $2,000 to win, 40 laps before finishing the week on Saturday January 28th with the $10,000 to win, 100-lap 12th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship.
